About Us
Hi there, I am Rhonda Witt. I am the director of Wild About Learning. We are a high quality academic enrichment center. We have approximately 3500 square feet and located in the Keller Square Shopping Center at Pate Orr and Keller Parkway, near Rufe Snow. We offer a clean, safe, and fun atmophere with a specialization in School Readiness with a strong emphasis on Reading. We offer several programs: An Academic Preschool and Kindergarten, Afterschool Reading Enrichment Classes, and Summer Academic Enrichment Camps. We are so proud to say that we graduate lots of fluent readers every year. day and not just stay in "one room". We combine both Montessori and Traditional methods of teachings with fun multisensory kinesthetic style activities. Our classrooms are well equipped with materials rotated frequently. We offer a lending library each day for families to enjoy new release books for all to enjoy. This is our 4th school year in this building and our 15th school year of operation. Prior to that, I taught early childhood in Southlake and have a total of 27 years of teaching experience. It is with great pride to give you a tour of our amazing facility.
Front Foyer/Family Waiting Room
As you enter the front foyer, you will seem as if you have just stepped into an African Jungle. Greeted by some of our Jungle friends such as Mickey Monkey, Larry Lion, Timmy Tiger, Ellie Elephant, and of course our popular Mascot, Zed Zebra! It also serves as a family waiting room. Moms and Dads can catch up with friends while the siblings watch movies, such as Jungle Book or Tarzan.
All students are signed in at the front counter and germed up before entering the main keyless security coded entry door to the children's area. All doors are equipped with chimes and alarms. Security is very important to us.
The front office is located just to the left as you enter the children's area. It also serves as our sick bay.
We are now approaching the Jungle Tree Hollow Classroom. It serves as our Toddlers 18 months - 2 years. You will see lots of ladybugs crawling, bumblebees buzzing, and butterflies fluttering! Lots of storytimes, music, and singing! Toddlers learn their phonics sounds, colors, shapes, and numbers here. Many learning materials fill this room for lots of play center time. Smiles! Smiles! Smiles!
Lexi just loves coming to school everyday. Even though she is just 2 years old... she is learning a variety of readiness skills including phonics so that she can begin reading soon just like the big kids do! Gym is her favorite class.
We are now moving further into the Jungle and fastly approaching the tropical beach. This is where we will find our snack area stocked full of nutritional snacks, juices, and bottled water.
Now let us dive into the Sea and take a tour in our dramatic play centers. Here you will be greeted by many fish of the sea and even a Mermaid opening up a giant clam. This is our stage where we like to perform! And oh do our kids like to perform! We love to put on musicals for all to see! We also have a dress up area, home center, train center, and a block area. We encourage creativity!
